Getting a RV or motorhome ready for transport is often more complicated than getting a regular car ready. First you have to make sure everything inside of the RV is secure, which means you have to close windows and cabinet doors so that they stay closed during transport. This step also includes taking down pictures with whcih you have decorated your motorhome and securing anything that isn't held down so it won't knock around the inside of the RV. This will prevent your personal items from being broken as well as protect the interior of your RV. Items such as propane tanks, antennae, ammunition and anything else that could be deemed hazardous must be removed.

Paying for RV Transportation falls under the same standards as any other transportation type. For the deposit, motorhome transporters will accept cash, credit cards or certified checks. For the final payment they'll accept cash, certified checks or other forms of certified payment such as money orders. You should discuss the payment options with your rv transport company because different alternatives may be available.

Some transportation companies won't transport Class A or C motorhomes because these have to be driven to their destinations. It is important to initially communicate the size and type of recreational vehicle you'd like to transport.
