Nevada Driver’s Drivers License

Nevada requires beginning drivers to log at least 50 hours of driving experience before applying for a regular driver Drivers License . If no driving instruction class is offered within thirty miles of your home then you have to log at least one hundred hours of behind the wheel time. In both cases ten of the driving hours have to take place during night.

Nevada Speeding Laws

• It is unlawful for any person to drive or operate a vehicle of any kind or character at:
• A rate of speed greater than is reasonable or proper, having due regard for the traffic, surface and width of the highway, the weather and other highway conditions.
• A rate of speed such as to endanger the life, limb or property of any person.
• A rate of speed greater than that posted by a public authority for the particular portion of highway being traversed.
• A rate of speed greater than 75 miles per hour.
• There are additional penalties for violations committed in the work zone.

Additional rules:

The fact that the speed of a vehicle is lower than the designated limits does not relieve a driver from the duty to decrease speed when approaching and crossing an intersection, when approaching and going around a curve, when approaching a hill crest, when traveling upon any narrow or winding highway, or when special hazards exist or may exist with respect to pedestrians or other traffic, or by reason of weather or other highway conditions, and speed must be decreased as may be necessary to avoid colliding with any person, vehicle or other conveyance on or entering a highway in compliance with legal requirements and the duty of all persons to use due care.
