Kansas Driver’s License
Driver Education:
To receive a restricted driver's license in the state of Kansas you must be at least 15 but not older than 16, and consent from a parent or guardian is required. Also, you will have to have in your possession an official driver's permit for at least 6 months, and during that period have gained 25 hours of driving experience under parental watch with at least 10 of those hours being at night. An additional 25 hours is required when you turn 16, but those hours can be clocked when you are still 15 for those on the fast track to get their license. Proof of this experience is required in written by a guardian. You are allowed to drive to school and work during this time as long as a person who is 18 or older is in the car with you.
