A landslide on Saturday night in Wyoming’s Snake River canyon has made a portion of Highway 26/89 inaccessible to normal automobiles. The National Weather Service has warned of the possibility of additional landslides and other events.

State authorities have been working to clear the landslide, which has been described as an “oozing blob.” Until then, Star Valley residents may be forced to take a detour through Idaho.

The landslide didn’t cause any casualties; Wyoming auto transport is unlikely to be severely affected by it.
