I have loved the concept of smart cars ever since traveling in Europe some (ooof, ten) years ago. Parking head on into the curb makes tons of sense, you just need a different vehicle paradigm to support it… not to mention the cultural shift necessary for people to desire and value such things.

Perhaps the desire will come when people shift towards less consumption based lifestyles, or define themselves by an online persona rather than their clothes, cars and contraptions.
Likely, perhaps not, possible, definitely!
